No matter what type of vacation you are going on, there is something you will always have to do: pack! Kirsten Maxwell from Kids are a Trip joins Lisa to share what you should consider before you start filling your suitcase, a great way to pack items, and how to handle entertainment and snack items. Plus they share few items you may not have thought about but will make your vacation run even better if you bring them along.

Before packing think about the weather and where you will stay. Look for a place with a washing machine so you don’t have to pack clothes for the entire trip.

Favorite places to book for a family: Airbnb, Homeaway or a hotel with a suite.

When packing, consider using packing cubes to keep things organized and they are easy to pull out and put in hotel drawers at your destination.

Here are a few items that you can pack to make your life better while traveling: clothesline, white noise app (called Sleep Pillow), laundry detergent, stain stick, earplugs, first aid kit.

Favorite travel snacks: frozen grapes, Chex Mix, sunflower seeds, dried fruit.

Pack for the plane: Scarf, plain white men’s shirt (fits anyone in family in case of a spill), trash bags, baby wipes, reading light.

Pack for a road trip: flip flops in seat pocket, paper towels, toilet paper, ball or frisbee.

(You can check out our Amazon shop where I’ve linked up many of these items for easy access.)
