Going in the Gateway Arch in St Louis

  • Exciting to ride up into an iconic structure.

  • You ride up in a small tram pod with 4 seats. 

  • Book tickets ahead of time

  • Also consider: Taking a steamboat ride & eating BBQ

Fort McHenry in Baltimore

  • The Battle of Baltimore was in September 1814 and it inspired Francis Scott Key to write the words that became the U.S. National Anthem.

  • Great place to learn about American History

  • The movie in the vistior’s center really sets the stage for your visit, so don’t miss it.

  • The visitor’s center is currently closed due to COVID so I suggest waiting to visit until it’s open.

  • Also, consider visiting the Baltimore Aquarium.

Wright Brothers National Memorial

  • Monument, field where the Wright Brothers flew, visitors center

  • Fun place to learn about flight history

  • Gain a greater understanding of the magnitude of what the Wright Brothers did.

  • Also consider visiting: the beach and Jockey Ridge State Park

Strawberry Shortcake in Upstate New York

  • Visit Chase Farms for the best strawberries shortcake ever.

  • Sit outside at a picnic table and enjoy the charming country views.

  • Also consider visiting: Buffalo, NY for some hot wings and Niagra Falls.

Kennedy Space Center

  • The Kennedy Space Center @ Port Canaveral is a perfect place for your space-loving family members.

  • See spaceship launch pads!

  • Watch a cool IMAX movie.

  • Learn about space and space exploration.

  • Also consider visiting: Orlando theme parks and the Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach

Broadway Show in NYC

  • This is my bonus suggestion!

  • Seeing a show on Broadway is a special experience.

  • I think you could make the purpose of going to NYC just to see a show.

  • There is something for everyone even if you don’t have a musical fan in your family.
